Speed of development

The design practice has been greatly impacted by the rapid adoption of AI, prompting questions about the role of designers when products become capable of building themselves. Many designers have already integrated some form of artificial intelligence (AI) into their work processes. In the short term, designers remain essential as both translators and generators due to the current limitations of AI. However, this might change as new technologies emerge. The pace of technological development will only continue to increase, surpassing human comprehension and capacity both personally and professionally. Humans and technology not only move at different speeds but also at different rates of acceleration. Alignment is an expression of the new context that is surrounding people, where technology seamlessly integrates into human existence, and devices become invisible.

AI and CMF design

The use of AI and machine learning is transforming the field of CMF design, with data playing an increasingly critical role in the design process. By working alongside professionals skilled in data mining, data analytics, and machine learning algorithms, designers can gain deeper insight into people's preferences. Predictive models can forecast future developments, while 3D design tools facilitate a seamless and more intuitive design process. With the assistance of AI, any idea can be quickly visualised and Ai has also emerged as a powerful tool for exploring the potential of materials, particularly in the realm of material innovation and exploration.

Invisible technology

In Alignment, homes and people are surrounded by intuitive technology that feels natural. Technology becomes an interwoven layer of physical existence, and tools such as light, colour and speech are essential for operating these advanced environments. Light becomes an important design feature. Alignment's materials and colours are designed to be almost invisible, with ultra-lightweight and foamy textures. There are hints of digital or ephemeral qualities that suggest playful relevance to natural phenomena. These experimental materials may have hidden functionalities.

About the palette

For Alignment, blue is the colour of the future because it represents unlimited territory, in the same way that the sky does. In a new, technologically advanced world, the expanse of the space to be used is infinite. The depth of digital territory is rendered in a multitude of lilac-tinted grays, suggesting a neutral or empty space inviting exploration. Designers are once again beginning to learn the basics of spatial dynamics, mimicking the effects of light, reflection, and iridescence. To achieve a higher state of relaxation and awareness of well-being, the colours are energizing and calming at the same time.

Key Colour

Forward, a greyish purple colour, symbolizes the technological future shaping our world. It is a representation of progress and adaptability.

Colourways

Bi-colour

The bi-colour colour ways for Alignement are gradations symbolizing transitions and movement.

Zones

The blue colourway starts with a grey, emphasizing the coolness of the blues.

Touched

A cool colourway that catches light and colour effects.

Inviting

Also the lilac to purple colourway has grey in it. It makes it cooler and more future forward.
